Family Tradition

My grandfather was an ironsmith and this recently was handed down to me from my father. We brought it into the showroom this week and the response has been overwhelming. We continually want to tell the handmade, Amercian story at DESIRON and this is certainly a beautiful and personal representation of that.

Cheers,

Frank

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2011

Hi Friends,

Last Thursday I attended the Opening of the Circe Lounge at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. It was a great event and Fashion Week is always an exciting time in New York. Here are some photos from the event!

Old School

With the overwhelming rise in appreciation for antiquity in the furniture/design industry, and the revival of Heritage brands in the clothing space, all that was old is now new and relevant. So naturally the throwback of a hot shave at an "old school" barber shop is super appealing. I tried out the Ernest & Olivia Barber Shop and Salon in the West Village and was so delighted with the experience. Not only was the shave amazing, but the space is on the money.

DESIRON Hosts "Save Our Breast Friends" by Jimeale NY

We had the wonderful oppportunity to host Jimeale NY's "Save Our Breast Friends" event a couple weeks ago. The event directly supported Boarding 4 Breast Cancer, a non-profit dedicated to early awareness and detection of breast cancer, see their website HERE. The night raised over $35k through ticket sales, silent auction and donation and we were proud to host all of their guests. Jessica Szohr, of Gossip Girl fame and Sarah Wynter from Flight of the Conchords were the fabulous hosts that evening and contributed hugely to making the night a huge success.

Here are some photos from the event.

Best,

Frank
