An exciting project that I have been apart of recently is having the pleasure of being a dinner guest on the hit Bravo television show Rocco’s Dinner Party. The episode I am apart of Bangers ‘N Cash, airs Wednesday July 27 and also includes guests such as British television host Cat Deeley, actress Raven Symone, actor Christopher McDonald, New York Times food writer Amanda Hesser and restaurateur Ken Oringer. Chef’s included on the episode are Executive Chef Kevin Gaudreau, modernist Chef de Partie Janet Kim (from Gordon Ramsey’s The London) and Executive Chef Chris Calcagno. The theme that night was gastropub, a high-end version of British pub food. Be sure to catch the episode and find out if the chefs were able to impress their guests!

Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 1:02PM PROJECT is coming upon us fast and we are busy putting together the final touches for our surf themed lounge. We have been shopping around for beach themed accessories to fill the lounge.

We are especially excited about these surfboards that just came in. The bright color blocks are on trend this summer season. These boards are designed by West Coast artist, Randy Noborikawa. Visit his work HERE.

PROJECT 2011 is coming up this July 17, 18, 19 and Desiron is excited to be a part of the premier fashion trade show, designing a VIP Desiron surf lounge. PROJECT is a place where the New York community comes together for the love of design and fashion. It has become one of the greatest and most well known trade shows because of the many talented emerging brands showcasing their work, bringing the future of fashion to present time. The trade show is a platform to support and help develop these emerging talents teaching them how to navigate the industry and help them grow financially.

Desiron is thrilled to be a part of PROJECT this year, designing a beach themed lounge. This area is envisioned to be a place where attendees can relax and enjoy the atmosphere, sip on complimentary margaritas courtesy of Maestro Dobel Diamond Tequila, and take in the delightful excitement of the many brands showcasing their designs. Although this beach house is not quite as close to the beach as one would hope, the style is guaranteed to surpass the average beach home through a modern and surf style theme. We foresee surfboards, a sand box, a tiki bar, and vintage looking beach accessories. Our ambition is to bring the best beach paradise possible to NYC through great design with of course the help from the exciting energy of the trade show. Desiron is absolutely excited to be a part of PROJECT and we encourage you to attend, take a look at the many talented exhibitors and of course stop by the Desiron surf lounge!
